Rotosure are New Zealand's biggest selling measure wheel! Sold in New Zealand for over 20 years, Rotosure is now used by almost every major contracting and roading company. This model has a 500mm circumference wheel. The tyre is manufactured from hard wearing, abrasive resistant P.V.C. The Rotosure 500 has a tough aluminium handle and a pistol grip for maximum comfort. This measure wheel has two quick release clips that allow the handle to fold down.

Accurate, easy to use and robustly made, a serious tool built for real-world use.

This is my first wheel-type measuring device, and after reading the reviews about other brands which broke after 6 uses, decided to go for the quality one.

First thing I did was to go out to the parking lot with my 100m fibreglass tape, then ran back and forth next to the tape. As nearly as I can tell, the wheel is exactly right for this distance.

Having the hand-brake is really great for setting the start-point and then holding the distance for a reading at the end of a run. When selecting this unit, I wasn't sure if it was going to be a useful feature but now can't imagine doing the job without a brake. I wish it could be locked but in the final analysis, it's better to have a non-locking brake than to have no brake at all.

The wheel is silent and construction is robust. It's easily folded using a single latch and is quite compact when folded. I expect this tool to last a really long time.

Well made wheel

i have never used a road wheel before so i have nothing to compare this one to, but it seems very well made. the wheel part is nice and solid and the handle and folding clip design are good too. there is also a bit of weight in the lower part of the design which makes comfortable to use.
