The RL-HV2S is Topcon's newest dual grade construction laser. Replacing the RL-SV2S model, the RL-HV2S is a dual grade, long range, self-levelling instrument built to perform!
This laser is a great tool for any general construction or engineering project and designed for use for flat work, single or dual slope applications. Slopes up to ±15° can be used in either X or Y axis. With an 800m (diameter) operating range, the RL-HV2S has the power to cover even the biggest job sites.
That's not all either. Turn the RL-HV2S on it's side and use it for layout and alignment. Lay it down on the built-on-mount or attach it to a tripod and the laser will electronically self-level for fast and accurate vertical applications. This multi-use laser does just about everything.
This versatile construction tool is loaded with all the features contractors love, including long battery life (100 hrs/alkaline), height of instrument alert, a dual sided detector, and electronic shutters. All of these features (and others) can be accessed on the front control or on a the free smartphone app as a remote control.
SLOPE VS GRADE, WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE?A
Slope Laser has buttons to allow the user to tilt the laser over to an angle, however there is no display showing what the angle is. This is ideal for creating slopes where the actual angle does not matter (ie. water run-off on a driveway or pad). Some models allow single axis only and others allow dual axis slope.

Grade Laser has the same function, however there will be a display which will show the exact angle (usually as a percentage grade), so you can dial in the exact angle required and the laser will tilt over to that gradient. Some models allow single axis only and others allow dual axis grade.
