Does your laptop or desktop not have a serial port? Well this cable is the answer. Standard total station RS232 data port plug on one end and a USB plug on the other. Just install the drivers and plug the cable in and it will create a new com port which you can use to download from any of your standard survey software as you would normally do with a serial cable.
