In the film industry, nothing is put on to a stand or tripod without sandbags on the base. This is standard practice, whether it's a $5 piece of polystyrene to block light, or a $250,000 camera. For this reason it is almost unheard of for tripods and stands to be knocked or blown over. In the survey and construction industries it is common for valuable instruments to be put on tripods and very few people actually use sandbags.

Such a simple and effective product. Just set up your tripod as you normally would, then drape one of these saddle bag style sand bags over each tripod foot, and your tripod/bipod now has a firm base to help prevent accidental knocks or gusts of wind from destroying your valuable investment.

These are high quality, made from an industrial strength nylon material and reinforced with orange panels across the face to provide strength and visibility.  With a tough carry strap across the middle. At each side is a pouch that can be filled with sand, shot or anything heavy, then zipped to prevent splits or spills. Simply leave them filled, ready for your next job.

Get them today, before it's too late!

Version 2 is a huge improvement

I have some of the older ones which were all black and they tended to split on the seams over time. I got in some of the newer ones with the orange stripes and they are a massive improvement on the older ones. The orange ones are thicker fabric and multiple layers of fabric, then the stripes are additional reinforcing. I haven't been using the new ones for long yet, but I can see they are much stronger, so I expect them to outlive the older ones.
