The genuine Myzox PGF-OL is the best of both worlds with fibreglass outer leg poles for maximum resistance to temperature and climate changes and wooden inner legs to absorb vibration from the ground. This is the best survey tripod available. Many have copied the design, but none can compare with their quality.
From Myzox in Japan, this model can be extended to 175cm tall with a standard 5/8 thread. It features a protective cover for the tripod head and mounts on the legs for storing the cover when the tripod is in use.

Good tripod

This is a good tripod and does everything I expected

Superior in every way

The traditional wooden tripod is a mainstay for any surveyor and we all know that, however the issue over time is the paint wears off the wooden dowels and then they become sluggish to slide the legs. While the dowels can be replaced by Trig Instruments, and indeed they have replaced many for us, these hybrid wood and fibreglass versions are far superior for the small additional investment. The dowels being fibreglass do not suffer the same fate and therefore the tripod remains functional in peek performance for many many years.
